they really aren't all that bad...besides, i went through too too much during pregnancy and labor with the two of them, i'm determined to make sure it was worth my while...
plus, i'm pretty sure there are laws about giving away your children...
and this morning, i happened upon the duke teaching wingman how to play chess...
it was really too precious...and, there was no shouting or throwing of pieces...which is how it would end if it were me he was trying to teach...
we are moving into studying shakespeare and three digit division for school...it should be fun, well, the shakespeare part at least...although i am beginning to not be so math phobic these past weeks...
the duke is really enjoying soccer...he seems a bit sad about missing chess club, but i think it's good that he enjoyed it so much and has it to look forward to after soccer season is over...
which by the way is two nights a week and EVERY SATURDAY FROM HERE UNTIL THANKSGIVING!...i shoulda known...apparently the lord of the ring and i are down two folding chairs and a colorful array of matching sweatshirts...gotta take care of that...dear god...
oh, and i have to be sure to get an extra large thermos for the uh, adult refreshments...no way am i sitting in the cold and wind and rain in my folding chair and matching crew neck sweatshirt without fortification...
okay, maybe just for the afternoon games...although, now that i think about it, i have always been rather fond of baileys and coffee...
oh, and in case you are interested, wingman won the chess game...
x.
