wingman could charm the paint off a wall...

top ten list of wingman charmers...

10. when he thinks something is funny, he puts his chubby little hands over his mouth and giggles with a real little kid's kinda hee hee hee...the best sound in the world...

9. he says "you be a beeto"...in which he then tries to roll you in a blanket and eat you...like a burrito...

8. he consistently says with pride in his voice "mama, i dowing (growing) biddur and biddur evvy day!"...

7. when we went to target he picked out his own sponge...a blue one with butterflies and put it in the cart...i had no idea until we got to the checkout counter...and he started in on the i need to get something thing...i started to explain to him we weren't there to buy a toy, and he said in a very excited voice "no! lote, lote (look look) in dare! (pointing into the cart) ah me ah dot...lote! my own ponge...ah me ah help ah you!"...and he was so happy and so proud and carried his sponge in his own target bag with the biggest damn smile on his face...and if you come to our house he will show you his blue sponge with the butterflies...

6. at any given minute you're bound to catch him doing something incredibly weird, but cute...like looking outside and seeing him in the driveway, all alone, taking off his shoes and socks and very deliberately smelling both of his feet...then waving his hand in front of his nose and saying "whew"...

5. when he talks he sounds just like margaret cho doing an impersonation of her korean mother's voice leaving messages on her answering machine...

4. he says "hey mama...ah me ah tell you sumpeeng..."...he's always got "sumpeeng" to say...after taking his time to talk, he now talks to me on a regular basis...and that makes me happy and gives me great relief that his *not* talking was just a matter of him being ready...and it's always very charming...(except when he's screaming, which is decidedly not charming, and could also take the paint off a wall)...

3. nearly every day he picks a bunch of dandelions and runs up to me saying "happy mudders day!"...

2. lately, i have more than once caught him outside, lying in the grass softly singing "i ah bid tid (big kid) now"...over and over...

1. sometimes he doesn't wipe my kisses off...
